Hundreds of life-size animal puppets are traveling across the world as part of an artistic response to raise awareness around the climate emergency.⁣ ⁣ Organizers have called the public art installation the largest ever attempted, with the puppets making a 20,000km journey from Africa to the Arctic Circle. ⁣ ⁣ The five-month odyssey began in the Congo Basin last month, with the puppets made from raw materials and engineered to move like real animals.⁣ ⁣ As the procession stops through countries, residents will be trained in puppet-making and performance and will add their own animals. ⁣ ⁣ It will conclude in August, after growing to a diverse range of puppets representing species that are increasingly threatened by a warming climate. ⁣ ⁣ #climatechange #puppets #africa #arctic #art
