KNIGHTS GET WASHED AWAY: In a bi-district round playoff matchup against Hendrickson that was postponed twice before it eventually was played on May 3, the Knights showed pride and heart, but fell short after a rain delay disrupted their energy twice. The best of 3 series, which started with fears and promise, was paused due to weather, leaving the Knights struggling to regain their collective game face. “The rain delay kind of messed up our momentum,” sophomore designated hitter Blaise Kizer said. “We just need to work on situational hitting, but we were getting on base pretty constantly.” The Knights put pressure on Hendrickson throughout the series, but timely hits proved elusive in key moments.
