Here’s some 3D / CGI renders featured in the rockies Season Opener Reel.
I had a great time doing R&D with blender.official physics and particle properties to create simple but effective cut-ins.
A few of the shots didn’t make it into the edit, but I wanted to showcase different cloth simulations to resemble flags blowing in the wind with different materials and logo variations along with some other 3D logo animations.
- Shot 1: Cloth sim scrunching up using a negative force field physics property to have the cloth bunch up in the center.
- Shot 2: Cloth sim to create a flag waving in the wind
- Shot 3: Flag waving in the wind with a different material
- Shot 4: Baseball hitting / reacting to the cloth
- Shot 5: A macro slow motion shot of a baseball flying off the bat
- Shot 6: The end result of shot 5, sped up with animated text
- Shot 7: 3D logo animation with a collection of rocks following a curve
- Shot 8: The end result of shot 7, sped up with animated text and a lens flare...
