🚀 Check out the exciting things that happened last month at VentureLabs! ⭐ Lab2Market announcement: SFU and UBC are co-leading the Pacific Hub expansion of the nationally funded innovation program for Lab2Market. The Lab2Market network received $32 million in funding through the Lab to Market grants administered by the Government of Canada. ⭐ Alumni member companies major funding announcements: Aspect Biosystems successfully raised USD $115 million in Series B financing to proceed with their bioprinted tissue therapeutics development and Moment Energy raised USD $15 million in a Series A funding round to help advance the production of their Battery Energy Storage Systems from repurposed EV batteries. ⭐ We welcomed two new member companies, TIMEZYX and SkyAcres Agrotechnologies Inc., who were both named to Techcouver.com’s Top 10 Homegrown Startups to Watch in 2025.
