I fell to the floor in a panic. I was getting ready for a speech , one of multiple that week and my body froze, my brain short circuited & I couldn’t breathe. I have been a speaker for a decade and also a competitive athlete for another decade of my life, I was used to adrenaline & action for years… Then one day, I broke. I couldn’t think clear, I was a mess for no reason, my heart was racing my neck was tense. This lasted for weeks. I went to a functional medicine doctor and I learned what was happening. From all the years of adrenaline, my nervous system was freaking out. I was doing up to 4 virtual speeches a week, it was the tail end of Covid 2021 and I was ironically slammed with work, so I took everything that came my way. After that panic attack, I knew something had to change or I couldn’t move forward.
