When Jesus walked the earth, he came to provide the greatest act of love - dying in our place. Even that wasn't the extent of his love. He won our salvation in a loving way, being kind and forgiving to the people around him along the way. That love saved us. And then it motivates us to go out and show a love like that. Not only doing works of service for others, but doing them in a loving way - with the kind of love that is described in 1 Corinthians 13.
