Appreciation post for my brother Mario who has stepped up and taken care of my parents unconditionally. Mario takes Papi every Saturday to run errands, makes sure they have enough food, brings them pizza every Sunday and is available for them every time. I did the Saturday errands with Papi and Mario today and watched with appreciation how my brother did it all with Papi. I loved the experience, but I know it’s a big responsibility that my brother has all on his own because I chose to live far away. I often feel guilty because I left, I have it easier than my brother who takes care of elderly parents and I show up every few months. But Mario has never made me feel guilty. I will never be able to repay all this. I don’t take it for granted. To all those siblings who step up and do it all (you know there is alway one) thank you and always let us know how we can help, even from far away.
