LIONS MAKE HISTORY AT MASTERS MEET: It was a day of record-setting performances for numerous jserra.txfc athletes at the CIF-SS Masters Meet on Saturday at Moorpark High School in Moorpark. In the girls 4x400m relay, the Lions ran faster than any O.C. relay team in history to advance to state. The quartet of freshman Morgan Woolforde, senior Anne Elise Packard, junior Chloe Elbaz, and junior Maya Woolforde navigated the baton around the track in a new county record clocking of 3:46.30. The previous O.C. record of 3:46.42 was set at last year’s state meet finals by Packard, Elbaz, Maya Woolforde, and former standout Georgia Jeanneret. Packard and Elbaz teamed up with freshman Kaia Streadbeck and sophomore Reese Holley to lead the Lions to a state meet berth in the 4x800m relay with a third-place time of 9:03.87.
