The ultimate Father’s Day cocktail in partnership with highcampflasks!
I’ve wanted to try fat washing bourbon for a while, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. You don’t have to use bacon (although I’d recommend it), you can use butter or even avocado oil amongst other fats!
Recipe:
2 oz fat-washed-bourbon
Bar spoon of maple syrup
Couple dashes of orange bitters and tobacco bitters
Smoked with some pipe tobacco (optional)
Fat washing recipe:
Cook up a pack of bacon, eat bacon, add 2oz fat to a mason jar and top with bourbon. Let sit at room temp for an hour before popping it into the freezer for 24 hours. Take frozen fat layer off the top (save it and cook a steak with it, trust me), and strain.
Booze used:
oakloredistillingco bourbon, Pappy’s barrel aged maple syrup from huckberry, feebrothersofficial bitters.
