The Washington Spirit fell 0-2 to the Kansas City Current at their 2025 home opener. The match drew a record crowd of 19,254 marking the third consecutive home sellout of Audi Field. Kansas City’s Lo’eau LaBonta scored the Currents first goal in the 55th minute on a penalty kick and Temwa Chawinga followed up with the second goal in the 97th minute.
