This will introduce you to the blend of cultures in Kuala Lumpur. Stop 1: Get the train or a Grab taxi to the Batu caves. Go early, it opens at 7 am. Stop 2: Get the train to KL Central station. Walk to Petaling Street market in Chinatown. This busy market sells clothes, accessories and trinkets. It’s decorated with hundreds of lanterns so it’s worth a stop even if you don’t shop. Stop 3: Eat at Tang city food court near the market. This small and cheap food court serves some great dishes, and has vegetarian / fish / meat. Stop 4: Do a self guided walking tour of Chinatown. This will show you Indian and Chinese temples, clan houses and merdaka square. I’ll link the route in my stories now. Stop 5: If you want to get henna done, go to Unique Art Of Henna which you will pass on the walking tour. Stop 6: Kwai Chai Hong is a cool spot ...
