My Mikveh Day! I became officially Jewish by Orthodox standards on Nissan 4, 5785. I converted in Jerusalem, went to the Beit Din in Jerusalem, and as the official final step, went to the Mikveh in Hod HaSharon.
There are only 2 Mikvaot in Israel that are approved for state conversions — one in Jerusalem, which wasn’t open that week — and this one!
It was such a special day. The only point I was nervous in, in the entire process, was when I had to dunk in the mikveh! Two of my close friends who’ve been a part of my Jewish & Israeli journey since the beginning got to witness it and it was so special to share with them!
I’ll never forget this day. It feels like a blur, but it was so special 💕 via indianisraeli
