These are definitely my favorite sessions. I’m focused on building strength and athleticism, especially now that I’m ramping up marathon training. My goal is to improve explosiveness and maintain as much lower body strength as possible as the mileage increases. This will boost my speed and help ensure I have the endurance to sustain a solid pace throughout the race 🫡. Here’s the breakdown:
WORKOUT:
1: SEATED BOX JUMPS 3 SETS X 5 REPS
2: KB RESET SWINGS 3 SETS X 5 REPS
3: BALL SLAMS 2 SETS X 5 REPS
4: EXPLOSIVE ROTATIONS 3 SETS X 8 REPS
STRENGTH:
1: HEEL ELEVATED SQUATS 3 SETS X 8 REPS
2: RDLS 3 SETS x 8 REPS
3: BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUATS 3 SETS X 6-8 REPS
4: COPENHAGENS 3 SETS X 10 REPS
