Steve Vásquez Dolph, associate teaching professor in the Department of Global Studies and Modern Languages in the Drexel University College of Arts and Sciences (drexel_coas), believes in the power of community in the classroom.
With courses ranging from migration to climate change to the history of Philadelphia, Dolph connects students with real-world needs and experience to become informed, global citizens.
“I incorporate some form of experiential learning in all of my courses, from campus-based seminars that include visits from expert practitioners to immersive, site-based courses that connect students with the people and places where community knowledge is produced,” shares Dolph.
