"My cultural identity has definitely shaped who I am," says Hannah Dominguez, BS environmental science, current co-op at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. "I feel it is my responsibility to help pave a path and act as a role model for people in my family and the Latine/Hispanic community."
At acadnatsci, Drexel co-op students find connection between their cultural roots and their passion for science. From a tropical field studies course in Ecuador to building greater Latin American representation in the Academy's Library & Archive to discovering new opportunities for community-building, these Dragons are celebrating their heritage and creating inclusive spaces in academics and research.
