To safeguard the future of this important Canadian species, your Toronto Zoo has partnered with Weenusk First Nation on the Caribou Genome Biobanking Project, a multidisciplinary research initiative that links traditional knowledge with conventional science to develop cryopreservation protocols for caribou reproductive cells.
