If your warm-up doesn't prep you for battle… it's not doing its job.
Look, warm-ups aren't just about raising your body temp or checking the "mobility" box.
They're about priming your nervous system (your brain, spinal cord, reflexes) for what's coming next.
Whether that's max effort lifts, pickup basketball, or surviving your kid's birthday party.
After decades of working with elite teams, here's what I know:
✅ The best athletes don't waste time.
✅ They stop doing what doesn't work.
✅ And they treat warm-ups as mission prep.
So, if you're still doing a sad string of band walks and calling it a day? It's time to rethink the point.
We're big fans of bringing play back into warm-ups (think medicine balls, speed drills, weird internet moves).
Why? Because play IS nervous system training. Because it's fun. And because it works.
Ask yourself: Would this warm-up get me ready to fully show up & be present in 20 minutes?
If the answer's no… you know what to do....
