If your warm-up doesn't prep you for battle… it's not doing its job.⁠ ⁠ Look, warm-ups aren't just about raising your body temp or checking the "mobility" box. ⁠ ⁠ They're about priming your nervous system (your brain, spinal cord, reflexes) for what's coming next. ⁠ ⁠ Whether that's max effort lifts, pickup basketball, or surviving your kid's birthday party.⁠ ⁠ After decades of working with elite teams, here's what I know:⁠ ✅ The best athletes don't waste time.⁠ ✅ They stop doing what doesn't work.⁠ ✅ And they treat warm-ups as mission prep.⁠ ⁠ So, if you're still doing a sad string of band walks and calling it a day? It's time to rethink the point.⁠ ⁠ We're big fans of bringing play back into warm-ups (think medicine balls, speed drills, weird internet moves). ⁠ ⁠ Why? Because play IS nervous system training. Because it's fun. And because it works.⁠ ⁠ Ask yourself: Would this warm-up get me ready to fully show up & be present in 20 minutes?⁠ ⁠ If the answer's no… you know what to do....
