Titled “Antisemitism in Higher Education: Examining the Role of Faculty, Funding, and Ideology,” the hearing will address “underlying factors instigating antisemitic upheaval and hatred on campus,” according to a statement from Committee Chair Representative Tim Walberg, R-Mich. This development follows a federal investigation by the Department of Education into allegations of antisemitism on campus launched in February. The Department of Justice, or DOJ, opened a separate investigation regarding claims of antisemitism against the entire UC system in March.
