#AlumniAchievement: After receiving 56.14% of the vote in the June 7 runoff, John 'Trey' Bowers III '20, MBA (t.bow20) was elected to the Rowlett (TX) City Council Place 6, making him the first Black man to serve on the Rowlett City Council.⁠ ⁠ In the general election in May, Bowers received the most votes in the race, earning 43.47% of the vote, and he carried that momentum to the runoff.⁠ Bowers is currently a Senior Associate in Firmwide Skills Development at JP Morgan Chase & Co. in Dallas. He earned a B.A. in economics and political science at Morehouse and served as the SGA President for the 2019-20 school year.
