Hot baths are better after workouts than ice baths.
Especially after a lifting session, hot water immersion boosts blood blow which in turn promotes hypertropy and muscle protein synthesis
So basically getting in a hot bath after a workout helps you recover faster and get more out of your lifting workout
On the other hand, ice baths restrict blood flow and therefore blunt hypertropy, reducing the gains you just made in your workout
Ice baths still offer a lot of benefits but they’re best on rest days or after non lifting workouts
