Meteorologist tammie.souza says damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning and downpours are the main threats, and there is a low but significant 2% risk of a possible spin-up tornado. Thursday is a NEXT Weather Alert Day for these storms. Before that, Thursday will be hot with temperatures near 90 and high humidity making it feel like 100 degrees.
