Global air travel faced major disruptions on Friday after Israeli airstrikes targeted Iran, prompting multiple major airlines to cancel or reroute flights in and around the Middle East to steer clear of affected airspace. According to Flightradar24, a flight-tracking service, commercial aircraft largely disappeared from the airspace above Iran and Israel as well as Jordan, Syria and Iraq Friday. In response to the strikes, Israel, Iran, and Jordan all shut down their airspace. Iran also grounded all domestic and international flights.
