Our final 2024 excursion encouraged student creativity to soar!🦅 ⭐️First, we began with our “Trademark Tweets” Activity🐥 ✨We broke off into groups to learn and mimic local birdsong, in order to practice two important sound concepts: pattern and pitch! 🎶 Each group’s objective was to teach their assigned birdsongs to our activity leader in preparation for a game! ⭐️We then played a variation of the classic Red Light, Green Light game!🚦 ✨Here’s the difference: players were only allowed to move when the leader mimicked the bird calls we taught them!🦉 ⭐️We concluded our visit with a wonderful visit from sound artist @budeljesse, who taught us about his audio equipment and took us down to the beach to listen to waves through a hydrophone🎤🌊 Until January, Young Sound Seekers Out!🫡😊 #soundscape #environmental #education #blind #ornithology #accessibility @naturenps @stetson_cas
