The Asiyah Center is deeply appalled by the current administration’s deployment of military and police forces to carry out mass deportations, raids, and acts of family separation. These actions are not only unjust—they are intentionally cruel, and they send a clear message of fear and exclusion to immigrant communities across the country.
As an organization that exists to serve and uplift AMEMSA (Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, South Asian) and BIPOC women—especially survivors of domestic violence—we are feeling the impact of these policies firsthand. Many of the women we support are undocumented or from mixed-status families. These raids are not just political moves; they are deeply personal attacks on our communities.
This law is meant to instill fear, but we will not allow it to break us. Fear will not silence us. Our faith, resilience, and commitment to justice are stronger.
