Tonight we’re making Orange Chicken because who isn’t obsessed with this takeout classic?! I posted a version of this several years ago with crispy chicken, but I honestly prefer this version just browned in the pan. Plus it’s way faster and less messy! It seriously takes 15 minutes and you have that delicious takeout vibe without the hangover. I bet you have most of the ingredients on hand already. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1-1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite sized pieces
Salt & pepper
2 teaspoons tapioca flour or cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
Zest from 1 orange
Juice from 2 large oranges, about 1/2 cup
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoons coconut sugar, brown sugar or honey
3 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon sriracha, omit for no spice
1 tablespoon avocado oil
Green onion & sesame seeds to garnish
Steamed rice and broccoli to serve
