MedPals is a group of ECU Brody School of Medicine students who were teachers before entering medical school. Their aim is outreach with middle and high school students in eastern North Carolina to show them that a career in the health sciences is within their abilities. Their efforts has earned MedPals the "Creating Excellence in the East" award from the Pitt County Board of Education and the "Educational Program of the Year" from East Carolina University.
