Initially, success was simply winning. Then, I recategorized it as one’s capacity to enjoy the process - to revel in the mundane and the adverse. After the Beijing 2022 Olympics, I expanded my understanding even further. I witnessed, firsthand, the explosive growth of freeskiing in China and worldwide, and learned it is essential to marry the notions of doing well and doing good. To do well is to achieve a goal. Don’t get me wrong - anyone who knows me knows I love winning like none other. BUT, *only* doing well just means less space in the trophy case.
