Despite all she has been through, Liri Albag has decided to return to serve in the IDF this week. On October 7, 2023, Liri was serving as a surveillance soldier in the IDF when she was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from the Nahal Oz base in southern Israel and taken into Gaza. After surviving 477 days in Hamas captivity, she was released on January 25, 2025.
