Eagle on the bay.
The
#USCG Cutter barqueeagle sailed through the San Francisco Bay for its first visit to the city since 2008.
Built in 1936 by the Blohm and Voss Shipyard in Hamburg, Germany, and originally commissioned as the Horst Wessel by the German navy, Eagle was a war reparation for the U.S. following
#WWII. Today, it’s used as a training platform for future uscg_academy officers.
