The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has spent the last couple of years issuing refunds to Fortnite players who were tricked by deceptive in-app purchases between 2017 and 2022.
To be eligible for the refund, you need to:
- Be based in the United States.
- Have played Fortnite between January 2017 and September 2022.
- Be over 18 to complete a claim; a parent or guardian can do it on a child’s behalf.
On top of that, at least one of the following must apply:
- You were charged in-game currency for items you didn’t want between January 2017 and September 2022.
- Your child made charges to your credit card without your knowledge between January 2017 and November 2018.
- Your account was locked between January 2017 and September 2022 after you complained to your credit card company about wrongful charges.
