meeting my new mentor?! 😳 After producing my 30 Lessons series, I got the most unexpected DM from the one and only arden_cho 😭. You’ve seen her in Teen Wolf, Partner Track (w for the corporate girlies), Avatar, and, of course, OG YouTube. She was probably many of our first crushes growing up 🥹. And she's in Kpop Demon Hunters on netflix coming in June! I had the absolute honor of meeting Arden and getting all her words of wisdom as I’m evolving my career in this new digital media world. Lemme tell you - my jaw was DROPPED hearing all the lore of her breaking barriers in Hollywood, representing AAPI women in mainstream media, turning roles down due to pay disparities, and how she navigated challenging situations with major power players.
