🤙: Esa earned her degree from clt_engineering and was one of four women in her graduating class. Before crafting signature chocolates, she worked in textile machinery, architecture and interior design.
🍫: theundergroundtruffle opened in 2018 in Plaza Midwood — a chocolate lab and community space. Esa sources cacao beans from local farmers in Peru, Costa Rica, and Colombia.

💡: In the future, Esa wants to start a school for home chocolate making, making bean-to-bar chocolate accessible and stay committed to ethical sourcing and transparent storytelling.
