Quick tomato sauce recipe I pull out most of the time at home.
4-8 hours sauces are cool but we don’t always have the energy.
Extra virgin olive oil in a pot and cook down 1/2 an onion diced for 6-7 minutes. Add in a few cloves of minced garlic and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Add a little white wine (4-6oz), a can of San Marzanos, salt, pepper, a rind of parmigiano reggiano or pecorino romano and some fresh basil.
Simmer for 30-40 minutes.
I like to add some red pepper flakes to give some heat.
Easiest sauce to make quickly that requires next to no effort.
