Fireworks? Fun for us, not so fun for them. Here’s how to keep your pets safe and sound this July 4th 🇺🇸👇
1️⃣ ID tags and microchips are a must.
Loud noises can cause pets to bolt. Make sure they’re wearing up-to-date tags and that their microchip info is current in case they get spooked and slip away.
2️⃣ Create a safe space away from fireworks.
A quiet room with soft bedding, their favorite toy, and soothing sounds (think white noise or calming music) can go a long way in easing anxiety.
3️⃣ Secure all doors, windows, and gates.
Even the chillest pets can panic when the booms start. Keep your home locked down so they don’t dart outside.
4️⃣ Get outside play in early.
Plan your walks and potty breaks before the fireworks begin so you’re not outside during peak noise hours.
Your pets can’t protect themselves from holiday stress, but you can ❤️
Tag a fellow pet parent to remind them before the festivities kick off!
