SWIPE! ⬅️ The Mazda Miata Mono-Posto was a one-off concept car based on the second-generation MX-5, unveiled at the 2000 SEMA show.
Styled as a single-seat barchetta inspired by 1950s race cars like the Jaguar D-Type and Lotus 11, it featured no windshield, no doors, and only a tiny wind deflector with a prominent aluminum roll bar.
The car used the standard 1.8-liter inline-4 engine, turbocharged to produce around 190 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque.
It eliminated all non-essentials—no passenger seat, no stereo, no roof—to focus purely on the driving experience and embody Mazda’s philosophy of driver-car connection.
