SWIPE! ⬅️ In 1918, after returning from military service, Enzo Ferrari applied for a job at Fiat but was rejected.
This setback pushed him toward motorsport, eventually leading to his involvement with Alfa Romeo as a driver and later founder of Scuderia Ferrari.
In 1963, Ferruccio Lamborghini, a wealthy tractor manufacturer, approached Enzo Ferrari with feedback about his Ferrari 250 GT’s clutch.
Ferrari dismissed him harshly, prompting Lamborghini to launch his own car company—Automobili Lamborghini—that same year.
Around 1991, Horacio Pagani, then an engineer at Lamborghini, proposed transitioning to full carbon-fiber construction, but the idea was rejected.
Pagani left, founded his own company, and unveiled the Zonda in 1999.
Not long after, John Hennessey reached out to Pagani for an engine collaboration but was turned down. He responded by founding Hennessey Performance, now known for building extreme performance cars like the Venom F5.
