Bittersweet post here. Over the years i have managed to accumulate a plethora of Richmond, Va friends. A mixture of UGA and summer abroad in Innsbruck is how it all commenced. The last couple of days we congregated in honor of kindred spirit austinbuerlein mother who recently passed. There are 2 moms in that I’ve come across in this world who embody a kindness, warmth and over the top hospitality in the face of raising wild/handful sons. One is Judy Buerlin and the other is my own mom. Sucks that funerals are now an increasingly part of life. But such is life. It was so wonderful to see my old friends. Just like Judy would have wanted it we reminisced and laughed a lot. Also got to meet the children of one of my best friends from way back at Episcopal high school cchcollection we marveled at what our lives have become that at age 16 was quite unfathomable. Saw James and Molly’s 7th grader play some basketball 🏀 as well. Old friends are the best ones. 💯 #carpool
