Ferrari argued that the two mirrored horses flanking a large “W” on the Wee Power logo infringed on its iconic single prancing horse trademark. However, the court ruled that the designs were clearly different both visually and conceptually. The judge noted that Wee Power operates in a completely unrelated market, beverages, not luxury automobiles, and that there was no real likelihood of consumer confusion. Additionally, the court accepted that the word “Wee” referred to the founder’s surname, not an attempt to mimic Ferrari’s brand identity.
