WIPE! ⬅️ Han’s iconic VeilSide Fortune-bodykit Mazda RX‑7 FD, the exact car featured in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, just sold for £911,000 (roughly $1.23 million USD) at Bonhams’ Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Delivered by Universal and built by VeilSide, the car retains its original rotary engine (rebuilt by RE Amemiya), 19‑inch Andrew Premier wheels, and show-quality orange and black paint.
Though used only for static and stunt scenes, never actually drifted, the car remains one of just two surviving screen-used examples.
The final hammer price shattered pre-auction estimates of £250k to £350k, doubling previous records for R‑series JDM icons like Paul Walker’s Toyota Supra and becoming not only the most expensive Mazda road car sold at auction, but also the priciest Fast & Furious film car to date.
This sale underscores the growing recognition and collector demand for tuner culture vehicles with pop culture pedigrees.
