According to reports, Kansas City Chiefs WR
#RasheeRice was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 5 years of probation for his role in a high-speed, multi-car crash in March 2024. He pleaded guilty to two third-degree felonies: racing on a highway and causing serious bodily injury. However, a judge allowed for deferred adjudication, meaning the charges could be dismissed if he completes probation.
Rice also paid $115,000 in restitution to the victims and issued a public apology, expressing remorse and urging others to drive responsibly.
He was reportedly driving 119 mph in a Lamborghini at the time of the crash. No one died, and Rice was uninjured.
The NFL is expected to issue a multi-game suspension. Dallas officials emphasized the seriousness of his actions, while hoping this becomes a turning point for Rice.
Rice, 25, is recovering from a torn ACL and is expected to return for training camp.
