LAW ENFORCEMENT — REQUEST FOR PUBLIC INFORMATION
On Thursday, July 3, Park Wardens in Banff National Park received a report of an illegal canoe rental business operating at the Lake Louise Lakeshore and have launched an investigation.
A party of three allegedly rented a green polymer canoe from a male individual wearing a floral-print ball cap. This was reported to law enforcement after the party required rescue by the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise rental rescue boat. The person of interest is described as a white male, approximately six feet tall with a medium build, in his late 30’s with brown hair, short dark facial hair and a leg tattoo.
Park Wardens are asking the public for any information that could assist in their investigation. If you rented a green polymer canoe at Lake Louise on July 2 or July 3, 2025 or were approached by an individual matching this description about renting a canoe please contact Banff Dispatch at
