In the new year I’d like to spend more nights in fire lookouts. Or similarly cool cozy mountaintop cabins. They’re never easy to get to. And most being long abandoned by the USFS, they’re always a little a worse for wear (and filled with little mice friends). But as they say the juice is worth the squeeze.
