Beloved Sesame Street character Elmo’s X account was hacked on Sunday, leading to the fuzzy red monster blasting antisemitic tirades, racist language and posts critical of President Donald Trump. The posts have since been deleted, but screenshots are still widely being circulated of the character calling for antisemitic violence and demanding release of files related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. “Elmo’s X account was compromised by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts,” a spokesperson for Sesame Workshop, the makers of “Sesame Street,” said in a statement. “We are working to restore full control of the account.” This comes just a week after Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot praised Hitler and proceeded to rattle off tweets containing antisemitic rhetoric and white nationalist talking points.
