Michael Wade Tucker, 37, pleaded guilty to murder of Laci Cheyenne Whitson in Fayette County Circuit Court Friday morning. Whitson, 21, was reported missing June 29, 2024. Investigators learned Tucker had picked her up in Florence early June 26 and Tucker's home was searched June 30. Her remains were found hidden in a boat on the property and her clothing and personal belongings were found inside the house. Following the plea, Judge Sam Junkin ordered him to serve life in prison, the maximum possible sentence for murder.
