Napheesa Collier scored a record-breaking 36 points in the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday night to propel Team Collier to a 151-131 victory over Team Clark. The Minnesota Lynx forward claimed the MVP honors having bettered Arike Ogunbowale’s previous record of 34 points. However, the Dallas Wings guard’s total was recorded before this year’s addition of the four-point line, from which Collier sank four baskets on Saturday. Both Team Collier and Team Clark wore shirts that read “Pay us what you owe us” during Saturday’s warmup, after the players and the league were unable to reach a new collective bargaining agreement on Thursday. “We get a very tiny percentage of all the money that’s made through the WNBA, which obviously is made through the entertainment we provide,” said Collier, per AP. “So we want a fair and reasonable percentage of that.” . . . #napheesacollier #arikeogunbowale #WNBAAllStar #wnba (📸 Steph Chambers/Getty Images)
