Lexie Hull is stepping up to the line. 🏀
The Indiana Fever guard will replace teammate Caitlin Clark in Friday night’s WNBA 3-Point Contest in Indianapolis after Clark was ruled out due to a right groin injury. 🤕
The 23-year-old star aggravated the injury in the final minute of Tuesday’s win over the Connecticut Sun and will also miss Saturday’s All-Star Game. 🥺
But the Fever are still in the mix thanks to Hull, who’s having a breakout season from beyond the arc. 🌈
She’s shooting a sizzling 46.8% from three (29-of-62), the fourth-best mark in the league, and will now go head-to-head with some of the W’s top sharpshooters. 🔥
Her competition? Sonia Citron, Allisha Gray (the defending champ), Sabrina Ionescu (who set the WNBA and NBA single-round record last year with 37 points), and Kelsey Plum. 💪
Let the splash party begin. 💦
