There’s a ton of variables as to why my practice isn’t quantifiable to my in game performance, but here’s one thats pretty common in amateur hittersā˜šŸ½ Chasing exit velocity in a cage setting. Although a hitter needs to produce a certain amount of force in order to get a hit, based on the speed of the game at any level, once that exit velocity is established I don’t keep having my hitters chase it during practice. Every coach is different, for me personally I generally value barrel accuracy over exit velocity. I’m not saying I don’t want my hitters to improve or raise their exit velocity as they develop, I’m saying if my hitter squares up a ball in a game, whether it was 92.3mph or 94.5 mph, who really cares lolšŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø I prefer working on overall body awareness, adjustabilit...
