Tipperary were an afterthought in the hunt for Liam McCarthy as the knock out stages took place last year.
The county did have something to look forward to though as their minors battled through to the All Ireland Final where they took on Kilkenny in Nowlan Park.
The game has already taken on almost mythical quality for the people of Tipp as they saw two players sent off in the first half but yet hung on to win the game in extra time in an incredible battle.
The Tipperary seniors were present at the game and it is a game that has been referenced time and again by players and management since then.
