That’s a wrap on an incredible week at New Trier’s 8th Grade Problem Solving Camp! Throughout the week, campers pushed the boundaries of creativity, collaboration, and engineering. From building ping pong launchers and egg-drop vehicles to RC boats designed for speed and rescue, they learned the value of iteration, testing, and teamwork at every step. Campers explored physics through hands-on experiments, reimagined everyday objects, engineered automata toys and paper chains, and even learned to solder their own digital clocks. The week wrapped up with chain reactions powered by simple machines and circuitry—and plenty of surprises along the way. We can’t wait to see how these rising innovators carry their design thinking skills into the future! Follow ntappliedarts1 to see more from last week, and to see what is happening this week at the 5th-8th Grad STEM Camp. #CreativeProblemSolving #DesignThinking #FutureMakers
