When it comes to depression it’s really about identifying the cause of the ups and downs👇🏾
With High functioning depression, it feels difficult to overcome because you’re still functioning and you’ve learned how to incorporate it into your everyday life.
But there are always signs; here were some of my signs:
1. Increased Cravings
2. Loss of Interests/ Inspirations
3. Difficulty Concentrating
4. Feelings of worthlessness
5. Doom scrolling
6. Increased Comparison
7. Self sabotage
8. Increased Sleep Disturbances
9. Increased Self-Criticizing
10. Always feeling empty regardless of accomplishments
These are just a few symptoms that I’ve dealt with on a daily basis. Over the course of these past two years I’ve taken time to observe the “onset” of the depressive episodes and how long they’ve lasted.
